Kandhamal (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha state in eastern India. This constituency came into existence in 2008, following the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002. Boudh District
Boudh District is an administrative and municipal district, one of thirty in the Odisha, India. The district headquarters is the city of Boudh. History The early history of Boudh is uncertain. The discovery of Buddhist artifacts from Boudh has led historians to believe that Boudh was an important center of Buddhism. There are inscriptions that indicate that in the middle of the 8th century CE Boudh region was a part of Khinjali Mandala and it was under the rule of the Bhanja rulers. The earliest known ruler of this Bhanja dynasty was Nettabhanja who was the independent ruler of the Dhenkanal region. But his successors migrated towards Boudh-Sonepur region and founded Khinjali Mandala. They ruled there as the feudatory of the Bhauma-Karas of Tosali. Achyuta Samanta
Achyuta Samanta (born 20 January 1965) is an Indian educationist, social worker, and politician, known for founding the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He served as a member of parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing the Kandhamal constituency of Odisha from 2019 to 2024. Hemendra Chandra Singh
Hemendra Chandra Singh (29 September 1967 – 5 September 2014) was an Indian politician. He was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in 2014 from Kandhamal constituency in Odisha. He was a member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) political party. He had left Congress and joined BJD in February 2014. Born in the royal family of Nayagarh, Hemendra was the Second Child of Late Maharaja B.K.Singh & Maharani Lokrajaya. His elder brother was Gajendra Chandra Singh.
