''Kalos ilthe to dollario'' (Greek: el, Καλώς ήλθε το δολλάριο, Welcome, dollar) is a 1967 Greek theatrical comedy film directed by Alekos Sakellarios. The film stars Giorgos Konstantinou, Anna Kalouta and Sotiris Moustakas. Plot The shy and decent English tutor Filippos Angeloutsos needs to supplement his meager paychecks because of price hikes in the 6th American Fleet in the Port of Piraeus. He shared his proposal with ''madame'' Foulis, who is an English teacher to the girls at the Blue Black Bar in Troubas. Filippos esteemed his employees with a large fabbor that he spent. When the fleet arrived, Stavros confronted his problems in the attraction of sailors in a store and addressed again to Filippo with help. Alekos Sakellarios
Alekos Sakellarios ( el, Αλέκος Σακελλάριος, 13 November 1913 in Athens – 28 August 1991 in Athens) was a Greek writer and a director. He was born in Athens and grew up in Agios Panteleimonas and began to study journalism and acting at a young age. He wrote his first theatrical play in 1935 called ''The King of Halva''. He entered the film industry and had roles in both screenwriting and directing. He directed mainly with Christos Giannakopoulos and together they wrote and produced an estimated 140 works. Sotiris Moustakas ( el, Σωτήρης Μουστάκας) (17 September 1940 – 4 June 2007) was a Greek Cypriot actor born in Kato Platres, Limassol. His acting career lasted for over four decades, with 1960s–80s as his most successful years. The ''drachma'' ( el, δραχμή) was the official currency of modern Greece from 1832 until the launch of the euro in 2001.
