Kabaty Depot
The Kabaty Technical-Storage Station (Stacja Techniczno-Postojowa Kabaty, STP Kabaty) is the sole operational depot of the Warsaw Metro, situated in the Kabaty neighborhood of the Ursynów district in southern Warsaw, at the terminus of National Education Commission The Commission of National Education (, KEN, ) was the central educational authority in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, created by the Sejm and King Stanisław August Poniatowski, Stanisław II August on October 14, 1773. Motive Power Depot
A motive power depot (MPD) or locomotive depot, or traction maintenance depot (TMD), is where locomotives are usually housed, repaired and maintained. Warsaw Metro
The Warsaw Metro () is a rapid transit underground system serving the Poland, Polish capital Warsaw. It currently consists of two lines, the north–south M1 (Warsaw), M1 line which links central Warsaw with its densely populated northern and southern Dzielnica, districts, and the east–west M2 (Warsaw), M2 line. Three more lines (M3 (Warsaw), M3, M4 (Warsaw), M4, and M5 (Warsaw), M5) are planned. Kabaty
Kabaty is a Districts and neighbourhoods of Warsaw, neighbourhood, and a City Information System (Warsaw), City Information System area, located in Warsaw, Poland, within the district of Ursynów. It is a residential area dominated by multifamily housing, with a smaller presence of single-family housing as well. The oldest known records of Kabady come from 1386, when it was a small farming community. It was incorporated into Warsaw in 1951. In 1987 large multifamily residential neighbourhoods began to be constructed there, which lasted throughout 1990s and 2000s. In 1995, the Kabaty metro station, Kabaty station of the M1 (Warsaw), M1 line of Warsaw Metro rapid transit underground system was opened there. Ursynów
Ursynów () is a district of the city of Warsaw, Poland. It has an area of 43.79 km2 (16.88 sq mi), and in 2023, it was inhabited by 149,775 people, making it the 5th most populous and 3rd largest district of the city. Located in its western part, it is its southernmost district, bordering Włochy to the west, Mokotów to the north, Wilanów, to the east, with its southern and part of western border forming the city boundary. There, it borders municipalities of Lesznowola in Piaseczno County, and Raszyn in Pruszków County. The district is dominated by residential areas, with its east predominantly featuring high-rise multifamily housing such as in neighbourhoods of Jary, and Stokłosy in central north, Imielin, Na Skraju, and West Ursynów in the northeast, and Natolin and Kabaty in the central east. The Commission of National Education (, KEN, ) was the central educational authority in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, created by the Sejm and King Stanisław August Poniatowski, Stanisław II August on October 14, 1773. M1 (Warsaw)
The M1 line is the first line of the Warsaw Metro. It is 23.1 km(~14.4 mi) long, has 21 stations and runs from the Kabaty neighborhood in the Ursynów district to the Młociny district in Bielany. The decision to build it was made in 1982, and a year later the first works in Ursynów began. In 1995, the first section of the route connecting Ursynów and Mokotów with Śródmieście, Warsaw, Śródmieście was launched, and the next sections were put into operation in the following years. In 2008, construction of the Bielany section was completed and crossings on the whole line were started. There is also a plan to add two additional stations around the center portion of the metro line. M1 trains run from approximately 5:00 AM to 12:10 AM (from Monday to Thursday and Sunday) and from approximately 5:00 AM to 3:00 AM (Fridays and Saturdays).
