Jyu-Oh-Sei
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Natsumi Itsuki. The manga was first serialized in Hakusensha's monthly shōjo manga magazine, '' LaLa'' in December 1993. Several chapters of the series were serialized in Hakusensha's other bi-monthly ''shōjo'' manga magazine, Melody. The chapters released were then collected into five ''tankōbon'' volumes and later re-released into three ''kanzenban'' volumes. It was licensed and released in English in North America by Tokyopop, with translations by Yuya Otake and English adaptation by Clint Bickham. An 11-episode anime adaptation was animated by Bones and premiered on April 13, 2006 in Japan as part of Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. On May 2, 2009, the series made its North American television debut on the Funimation Channel. Hiroshi Nishikiori
is a Japanese anime director. He debuted in 1999 with ''I'm Gonna Be An Angel!'' Two years later, he directed ''Angelic Layer'', which won the Animation Kobe in the television category. Some of his other major works include ''Azumanga Daioh'', ''A Certain Magical Index'', and ''Argonavis from BanG Dream!'' Biography Hiroshi Nishikiori was born on May 20, 1966. Natsumi Itsuki
is a Japanese '' shōjo'' manga artist best known for writing science fiction manga. She debuted in 1979 with ''Megumi-chan ni Sasageru Comedy'' in ''LaLa''. She won the 1993 Seiun Award for best science fiction manga for '' Oz'' and the 1997 Kodansha Manga Award for shōjo manga for ''Eight Clouds Rising''. Several of her works have been adapted as anime, including ''Jyu Oh Sei'', ''Oz'', ''Eight Clouds Rising'', and ''Hanasakeru Seishōnen''. Clint Bickham
Clint Bickham is an American voice actor and ADR script writer. After collaborating with illustrator Priscilla Hamby on ''Devil's Candy'', which was featured in the first volume of '' Rising Stars of Manga'', he also worked for the manga publisher Tokyopop, writing the English adaptations of manga such as '' Domo'' and '' Jyu-Oh-Sei''. Hajime Mizoguchi
is a Japanese cellist and composer. Mizoguchi started playing piano at the age of 3, and the cello at the age of 11. From 1978–1985 he attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music where he majored in violoncello. In 1986, he released his first album, ''Half Inch Dessert'', being listed as a composer, arranger, and performer. From then on, he has released over 20 albums including motion picture soundtracks. Noitamina
is a Japanese programming block on Fuji Television devoted to anime, originally broadcast every Thursday late night/Friday morning from 0:45 to 1:15 JST. It was launched with the intention of expanding the target audience beyond the typical young male demographic. The block debuted in April 2005 as a half-hour block. All anime production under the block are joint-venue by Fuji TV, Dentsu and usually Sony Music Entertainment Japan or its subsidiary Aniplex. The timeslot was expanded from a half hour to a full hour in 2010, and airs Thursday nights/Friday morning on 0:45 to 1:45 JST, but returned to half an hour timeslot in 2015 due to 5 Noitamina-produced films to be shown in Japanese theaters in the same year. Masahiko Minami
is a Japanese anime producer and president of Bones. Early life Minami was born in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Career A graduate of the Osaka University of Arts's department of arts, Minami joined the noted anime studio Sunrise in 1984, where he began his career as one of its producers. Later, in 1998, he co-founded Bones together with animators Hiroshi Osaka and Toshihiro Kawamoto.
