Frank Henderson (South Dakota Politician)
Frank "Rudy" Henderson (April 7, 1928 – December 28, 2012) was an American politician from Miller, South Dakota. Career Henderson served in the South Dakota Senate twice in 1965-1966 and again in 1969-1970. Henderson had a law practice in Rapid City and then Hill City. Judicial service In 1974, he was elected as a circuit judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court for South Dakota. In 1979 he was elected as an associate justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court, defeating incumbent Lawrence Zastrow and served until 1994. Military service Henderson was a veteran who fought in the Korean War from 1951-1953. Leonard Henderson
Leonard Henderson (October 6, 1772 – August 13, 1833) was an American jurist who served as chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court from 1829 to 1833, and an associate judge of that court beforehand. Biography Henderson was born in Granville County, North Carolina on October 6, 1772. His father, Richard Henderson, was a pioneer, state Superior Court judge and politician. His brother, Archibald Henderson, was a state legislator and member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He read law under his father's cousin, Judge John Williams. Henderson served as a state superior court judge from 1808 until 1816. When the North Carolina General Assembly created the state Supreme Court in 1818, it elected Henderson as one of the first members of the three-judge court. The judges of the Court elected Henderson their Chief in 1829 after the death of Chief Justice Taylor. Henderson was also a trustee of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. William Henderson (Canadian Politician)
William James Orton Henderson MBE (13 October 1916 – 15 May 2006) was a Liberal party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Empress, Alberta and became a soldier, barrister, lawyer and Supreme Court of Ontario judge. He studied at Queen's University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1938. In 1942, he was formally installed as a lawyer after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School. During this time, he also served in the Canadian Forces from 1939, including some service in World War II, joining the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals in 1942 before his discharge in 1946. He remained a reservist until 1952. He was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his work in re-establishing a functioning judicial system in the Netherlands following World War II.
