The Jurong railway station was a freight railway station that was co-owned by JTC Corporation, one of Singapore's primary industry-based developers, and Keretapi Tanah Melayu (the KTM), the national railroad company of Malaysia. Jurong () is a major Region, geographical region located at the south-westernmost point of the West Region, Singapore, West Region of Singapore. Bukit Timah Railway Station
Bukit Timah railway station is a former railway station and crossing loop in Bukit Timah, in the westernmost part of the Central Region of Singapore. Opened on the dismantled Tank Road mainline in 1903, it was rebuilt on the current Singapore–Johor Bahru KTM Intercity mainline in 1932, until the Jurong line shut down and it became a crossing loop station in the late 1940s until closure. The station was a freight interchange for the now defunct Jurong line from 1965 to the early 1990s. The station closed in 2011, and it is now a conserved recreational building and museum that is part of the Rail Corridor. Jurong Railway Line
The Jurong railway line is a former railway line located in Singapore. Stretching a total of from Bukit Timah to the Jurong industrial estate, the line consisted of a main line and three branches. The line was initially planned as part of the Jurong industrial estate by the Singapore government, to connect the industrial estate with Malaya and to facilitate the transfer of goods between Malaya and Jurong. A $6 million loan was given to the Malayan Railway for its construction, which was carried out by the railway and the Economic Development Board, and construction of the line took place between September 1963 and November 1965, with the first train services commencing in the same month. Tanjong Pagar railway station, also known as Singapore railway station or Keppel Road railway station, is a former railway station located at 30 Keppel Road in Singapore. The station was the southern Terminal station, terminus of the network operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), the main railway operator in Malaysia, until 30 June 2011 when the station ceased operations with relocation of the KTM station to Woodlands Train Checkpoint. The land on which the station and the KTM railway tracks stood was originally owned by KTM and over which Malaysia had partial sovereignty. This arrangement lasted until 30 June 2011, when rail service to Tanjong Pagar was ended and the land reverted to Singapore.
