"Jungle" is a song by the American rock band Kiss from their 1997 studio album '' Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions''. It was also released as the album's promotional single and was later included on the 2014 compilation album ''Kiss 40'', which featured a track from every Kiss album. Although Kiss never performed the track live, it would be performed in later years by Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer as part of Eric Singer Project and was included on the ESP ''Live at the Marquee DVD''. Background and composition "Jungle" is the sixth track on the band's 1997 studio album '' Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions''. Kiss (commonly styled as KISS) was an American rock music, rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley (vocals, rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass guitar), Ace Frehley (lead guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (drums, vocals). Known for their face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid-1970s with shock rock–style live performances which featured fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits and pyrotechnics. The band went through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons remaining the only consistent members. Eric Singer (born Eric Doyle Mensinger; May 12, 1958) is an American drummer. Associated with the hard rock band Kiss on and off from 1991 until the band's retirement in 2023, he has also performed with artists such as Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Lita Ford, Badlands, Brian May and Gary Moore as well as his own band ESP. In his career, Singer has appeared on over 75 albums and 11 EPs. Early life Singer was born May 12, 1958, Eric Doyle Mensinger in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Euclid, Ohio. He graduated from Euclid High School in 1976. His father, Johnny Mensinger, was of Jewish German descent and was a local big band leader who played around the area as well as on cruise ships from the United States to Europe and back. Collective Soul is an American rock band originally from Stockbridge, Georgia. Now based in Atlanta, the group consists of the brothers Ed (lead vocalist) and Dean Roland (rhythm guitarist), Will Turpin (bassist), Johnny Rabb (drummer), and Jesse Triplett (lead guitarist). Formed in 1992, the original lineup consisted of the Roland brothers, bassist David Neal, guitarist Ross Childress, and drummer Shane Evans. The Eric Singer Project (ESP) is an American rock band. It was founded in the 1990s by Eric Singer, drummer for rock bands such as Lita Ford, Black Sabbath, Badlands, Alice Cooper, and Kiss, along with Bruce Kulick (Kiss, Grand Funk Railroad) on guitar, John Corabi (the Scream, Mötley Crüe, Ratt) on guitar and bass, and Karl Cochran on guitar and bass. ''Kiss 40'' (also known as ''Kiss 40 Years: Decades of Decibels'') is a compilation released by Kiss to celebrate the band's 40th anniversary. Information The album contains one track from every album the band has released over their 40-year career including live albums, the 1978 solo albums, as well as songs from compilations and from the three instant live albums, which are commercially available for the first time. There is one unreleased song: "Reputation". The album is the first released by the band since their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
