Julián Sánchez Melgar
Julián Artemio Sánchez Melgar (born 19 September 1955), is a Spanish judge and prosecutor currently serving as magistrate of the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court. He was the 90th Attorney General of Spain from December 2017 to June 2018. Because of being attorney general he was also member of the Council of State. He is considered a Magistrate with a conservative profile. Biography He have a law degree from the University of Valladolid, and Doctor of Law from the University of La Coruña, with an extraordinary prize. Acceded to the judicial career in 1983, being destined to the courts of Reinosa, Miranda de Ebro and Mataró, ascending to magistrate by the turn of selective tests, in 1987 (number 2 of its promotion). Santander, Spain
Santander () is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain. It is a port city located east of Gijón and west of Bilbao with a population of 172,000 (2017). It is believed to have been a port since ancient times, due to its favorable location, and is documented as far back as the 11th century. Much of the medieval city was lost in the Great Fire of 1941. Today, its remaining old town, beach and other attractions are popular with tourists and other visitors and its economy is mainly service based. Luis Bárcenas
José Luis Bárcenas Gutiérrez (born 22 October 1957) is a Spanish politician who served as party treasurer of Spain's Partido Popular (PP, People's Party) and a senator. Formerly a key player in his party's accounts department, since 2009 he has been embroiled in political corruption scandals. In 2018 he was sentenced to a 33 year prison term and a €44 million euro fine for his role in the Gürtel trial. Career Luis Bárcenas started working in the People's Party accounts department in 1990, and he became the chief administrator of the party in 1993. In 2008, the president of the party, Mariano Rajoy, personally chose him as Treasurer to replace Álvaro Lapuerta. Francisco Javier "Patxi" López Álvarez (; born 4 October 1959) is a Spanish politician serving as Member of the Congress of Deputies and chair of the Constitutional Committee. Ukrainian-Mediterranean Airlines Flight 4230 was a chartered international passenger flight, a Yakovlev Yak-42D operated by Ukrainian UM Airlines, which crashed in 2003. Flying from Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Zaragoza Airport, Spain, the Yak-42D tried to land at Trabzon Airport in Turkey to refuel on May 26, 2003, but, because of dense fog, it slammed into a mountain near Maçka, Trabzon. Nevenka Fernández García (born 25 October 1974) is a Spanish economist. She was councillor of Finance of Ponferrada between 1999 and 2000. A motion of no confidence in the Spanish government of Mariano Rajoy was debated and voted in the Congress of Deputies between 31 May and 1 June 2018. It was brought by Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) leader Pedro Sánchez after the governing People's Party (PP) was found to have profited from the illegal kickbacks-for-contracts scheme of the Gürtel case in a court ruling made public the previous day. The Cortes Generales (; en, Spanish Parliament, lit=General Courts) are the bicameral legislative chambers of Spain, consisting of the Congress of Deputies (the lower house), and the Senate (the upper house). The General Council of the Judiciary ( es, Consejo General del Poder Judicial, CGPJ) is the national council of the judiciary of Spain. It is the constitutional body that governs all the Judiciary of Spain, such as courts, and judges, as it is established by the Spanish Constitution of 1978, article 122 and developed by the Organic Law 6/1985 of the Judicial Power (LOPJ). The President of the CGJP is also the president of the Supreme Court. Mariano Rajoy
Mariano Rajoy Brey (; born 27 March 1955) is a Spanish politician who served as Prime Minister of Spain from 2011 to 2018, when a vote of no confidence ousted his government. On 5 June 2018, he announced his resignation as People's Party leader. He became Leader of the People's Party in 2004 and Prime Minister in 2011 following the People's Party landslide victory in that year's general election becoming the sixth President of the Spanish Government.
