Julián Quiñones
Julian Andrés Quiñones Quiñones (born 24 March 1997) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a forward and winger for Liga MX club América. Club career Tigres UANL Quiñones joined Liga MX club Tigres UANL from his native Colombia to play in the under-20 squad and was the top goal scorer in the Apertura 2015 season. In 2016, he was loaned out to Ascenso MX side Venados. 2017-18: Loan to Lobos BUAP In 2017, he was loaned out to the recently promoted side Lobos BUAP, where he would become the third top goal scorer in the 2017 Apertura season with 9 goals. In the 2018 Clausura season, Quiñones would once again be the top goal scorer for Lobos, scoring 8 goals, as they finished last in the standings and escaped relegation after paying a fine of 120 million pesos (6 million dollars), due to the winner of the Ascenso MX, Cafetaleros de Chiapas, not being certified to be promoted. Colombia National Under-20 Football Team
The Colombia national under-20 football team represents Colombia in international under-20 football competitions and is overseen by the Colombian Football Federation. The team's most notable performance in the FIFA U-20 World Cup was in 2003, where they achieved third place. For the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup, Colombia qualified automatically as hosts, eventually losing to Mexico in the quarter-finals. The CONCACAF Champions League, known officially as the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons, is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF. 2022 MLS All-Star Game
The 2022 Major League Soccer All-Star Game was the 26th annual Major League Soccer All-Star Game, an exhibition soccer match in the United States. The game, featuring all-star teams from Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX, took place on August 10, 2022, at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was the second MLS All-Star Game to be played under the inter-league format. The all-star game also included a skills challenge, concerts, and other events in the days before the match. The MLS All-Stars won 2–1 with goals from Carlos Vela in the third minute and Raúl Ruidíaz in the 73rd minute; Liga MX earned a consolation goal in the 84th minute through a strike from Kevin Álvarez. Association football is one of the sports played at the Central American and Caribbean Games, a quadrennial multi-sports event for countries in those regions. The Games can involve eligible national teams from two football confederations, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL. A men's tournament was first held in the second edition of the Games in 1930. The first women's event was held in 2010. In 2010, only a women's tournament was played, but both men's and women's events have been held in subsequent editions.
