Julien Joseph Audette
Julien Joseph Audette (June 6, 1914 – October 28, 1986) was a pioneering Canadian aviator dedicated to the development of the art of soaring. Early years Julien Joseph Audette was born at Radville, Saskatchewan, June 6, 1914. Following graduation from Regina's Campion College, he successively worked in his father's grocery, Canada Packers, Gray Insurance and finally from 1937, for the Saskatchewan Government Audit Department. Second World War In May 1941, he joined the RCAF and received his pilot's wings and commission at Yorkton on February 27, 1942. Following instructor positions at Trenton and Saskatoon and operational training at Comox, he was posted to the Far East where he flew the Douglas DC3 for the "Canucks Unlimited" 436 Burma Star Transport Squadron. Post-War Following the war, he assisted in the formation of the Saskatchewan Air Ambulance Service and was its second pilot. Julien-Joseph Ducorron
Julien-Joseph Ducorron (15 November 1770 – 22 March 1848) was a Belgian landscape painter. Ducorron was born at Ath. At the age of thirty-two, he devoted himself to the art of painting under the direction of Balthasar Paul Ommeganck, and made marvellous progress as a landscape painter, obtaining several gold medals. He was afterwards director of the Academy at Ath, where he died in 1848. The Brussels Museum has by him a "View in the neighbourhood of Irchonwelz, near Chièvres Chièvres (; pcd, Chieve) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. Julien Joseph Vesque
Julien Joseph Vesque (8 April 1848, in Luxembourg – 25 July 1895, in Paris), was a French naturalist, noted for his work on the agricultural and horticultural benefits deriving from the study of plant physiology. He was the father of Marthe and Juliette, the celebrated circus aficionados known as the Vesque Sisters. Vesque received his early education at the ''Athénée grand-ducal'', moved to Paris in 1871, living and working there for the rest of his life. He held the position of professor from 1880 at the ''Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle'' and from 1883 he was professor at the '' Paris Agricultural Institute'', teaching at the Sorbonne during the same period. His main area of study was water transportation in plants. In 1880 he stated that the movement of water in plants is due to both transpiration and root pressure. Julien-Joseph Virey (21 December 1775, Langres – 9 March 1846) was a French naturalist and anthropologist. Biography Julien-Joseph Virey grew up in Hortes village in southern Haute-Marne, where he had access to a library. He educated himself and became an apprentice to his uncle, a pharmacist. Arriving in Paris, he attended the League of Ideologues and Human Observers. He later studied medicine and became a medical doctor. After becoming a protégé of Antoine Parmentier (1737-1813), he wrote a major work quickly in the field of anthropology, in which he promoted the theory of polygeny. Virey was interested in the origin of the human races. He wrote the ''Natural History of Man'' (1801), which was reprinted in a new edition in 1824. Virey addressed these issues for a long time.
