Judomaster
Judomaster is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. An unidentified incarnation of Judomaster appears in the DC Extended Universe television series '' Peacemaker'', played by Nhut Le. Fictional character biography Hadley Jagger Judomaster's secret identity was Hadley "Rip" Jagger, a sergeant in World War II in the United States Army. He rescued the daughter of a Pacific island chief and in return was taught the martial art of judo. He had a kid sidekick named Tiger. In the Nightshade backup series in ''Captain Atom'', an adult Tiger was Nightshade's martial arts instructor. Judomaster's title lasted from #89 to #98, from June, 1966 to December 1967. It was a retitling of ''Gunmaster'', which was itself a retitling of ''Six-Gun Heroes''. Along with most Charlton Comics superhero characters, the rights to Judomaster were sold to DC Comics. Peacemaker (TV Series)
''Peacemaker'' is an American superhero television series created by James Gunn for the streaming service HBO Max, based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the first DC Extended Universe (DCEU) television series and a spin-off from the 2021 film '' The Suicide Squad''. Set after the events of the film, the series further explores jingoistic killer Christopher Smith / Peacemaker. It is produced by The Safran Company and Troll Court Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television, with Gunn serving as showrunner. Frank McLaughlin (artist)
Francis X. McLaughlin (March 18, 1935 – March 4, 2020) was an American comics artist who co-created the comic book character Judomaster, drew the comic strip '' Gil Thorp'', and assisted on such strips as ''Brenda Starr, Reporter'' and '' The Heart of Juliet Jones''. He also wrote and illustrated books about cartooning and comic art. Bane is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Chuck Dixon and artist Graham Nolan, he made his debut in ''Batman: Vengeance of Bane'' #1 (January 1993). Bane is usually depicted as a dangerous adversary of the superhero Batman, and belongs to the collective of enemies that make up the Batman's rogues gallery. Nanda Parbat ( hi, नन्दा पर्बत, nandā parbat, the mountain of delight) is a fictional city in the DC Comics universe. It first appeared in ''Strange Adventures'' #216 (February 1969), created by Neal Adams. History Nanda Parbat is a hidden city nestled high in the mountains of Hindu Kush. Charlton Comics
Charlton Comics was an American comic book publishing company that existed from 1945 to 1986, having begun under a different name: T.W.O. Charles Company, in 1940. It was based in Derby, Connecticut. The comic-book line was a division of Charlton Publications, which published magazines (most notably song-lyric magazines), puzzle books and, briefly, books (under the Monarch and Gold Star imprints). It had its own distribution company (Capital Distribution). Paul Kupperberg (born June 14, 1955) is an American writer and comics editor. He is currently a writer and executive editor at Charlton Neo Comics and Pix-C Webcomics, and a contributing author with Crazy 8 Press. Formerly, he was an editor for DC Comics and executive editor of Weekly World News, as well as a writer of novels, comic books, and newspaper strips. Career Paul Kupperberg entered the comics field from comics fandom. He and Paul Levitz produced the comics fanzine '' The Comic Reader'' between 1971 and 1973, and '' Etcetera'' between 1972–1973. Mike Collins (b. 1961 in West Bromwich, UK) is an English comic book artist and writer and has been working in comics since the mid-1980s. Biography Born in West Bromwich in 1961, he moved to Wales in 1985 after an abortive stab at a career in the law, in London. Despite his training as a barrister, Mike decided that he enjoyed the fiction-based life of comic book characters over the fiction-based statements of clients.
