The Men's 66 kg judo competitions at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England took place on August 1 at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry Arena. A total of 16 competitors from 14 nations took part. Georgios Balarjishvili won Cyprus' first ever Commonwealth Games gold medal in the sport of judo after defeating Finlay Allan in the gold medal match. The Coventry Building Society Arena (often shortened to the CBS Arena or just simply Coventry Arena, and formerly known as the Ricoh Arena) is a complex in Coventry, West Midlands, England. It includes a 32,609-seater stadium which is currently home to football team, EFL Championship, Championship club Coventry City F.C., Coventry City, along with facilities which include a exhibition hall, a hotel and a casino.
