Judi's House
Judi's House was founded by Brian Griese in honor and in memory of his mother, Judi Griese, who died from breast cancer when Brian was twelve years old. Judi Griese was the wife of former Miami Dolphins star, Bob Griese. Judi Griese died in 1988 after a six-year battle with breast cancer. In his book, Undefeated (), co-written with his father, Brian recalled that he felt he had nowhere to turn to with his grief. He reported that he did not want to burden his father, as he was dealing with his own grief at the time. (Bob Griese had also lost his father when he was ten years old). While playing for the Denver Broncos, Brian Griese established a house where children could meet with support groups and counselors. Brian Griese
Brian David Griese ( ; born March 18, 1975) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played high school football at Christopher Columbus High School and later college football at Michigan. Griese played three seasons at Michigan, leading the Wolverines to the 1997 National Championship (as recognized by the Associated Press). After being selected in the third round by the Denver Broncos in the 1998 NFL Draft, he earned a Super Bowl ring with the Broncos in his rookie season, as a backup to John Elway in Super Bowl XXXIII. Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Bob Griese
Robert Allen Griese (pronounced ; born February 3, 1945) is a former American football quarterback who earned All-American honors with the Purdue Boilermakers before being drafted in 1967 by the American Football League's Miami Dolphins. Griese led the Dolphins to a then record three consecutive Super Bowl appearances, including two Super Bowl victories in VII and VIII. Griese was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1984 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
