Judaïques FM
(, "Jewish FM") was a radio station in Paris, France. It broadcast on 94.8 MHz as part of a four-way shared-time arrangement, consisting entirely of Jewish radio stations, between 1981 and 2020. While technically still a separate station with a separate authorization to broadcast, in 2020, it combined for branding and ratings purposes with Radio J, one of the other three stations on the frequency, with all of its programming and personalities being maintained. The stations had been under connected management since 2018. Within the four-station ensemble, Judaïques FM was intended as the most politically independent of the set and emphasized a multicultural viewpoint. Radio J is a Jewish community radio station in Paris. It broadcasts on 94.8 MHz in a time-sharing agreement with two additional Jewish stations, Radio Shalom and RCJ, from a transmitter in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, atop the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. It has half of the air time on the frequency after the 2020 unification of Radio J and Judaïques FM under common management and branding. Of the three Jewish radio stations, Radio J is identified as the closest to the religious community and to the state of Israel and the most right-wing. One of its founders, Guy Rozanowicz, stated that "Radio J has allowed the Jews of France to strengthen their ties with the Jewish state". Médiamétrie, established in 1985, is a public limited company specialising in audience measurement and research into audio-visual and digital media usage in France. It is especially well known for its Audimat brand whose name is now part of everyday language; today, however, that brand is named Médiamat. Compared to other European nations, the French are not avid newspaper readers, citing only 164 adults out of every 1000 as newspaper readers.
