Josh Brown (Australian Cricketer)
Joshua Brown (born 26 December 1993) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. On 26 February 2023, he made his List A debut for the Queensland against the New South Wales in the 2022–23 Marsh One-Day Cup. Biography Brown grew up in Brisbane and played soccer as a youth, only starting playing cricket at the age 13 years-old. At the age of 23 years-old he quickly progressed from third grade cricket to the Queensland Second XI within 18 months. He played grade cricket for Northern Suburbs District Cricket Club, and in 2019, played club cricket in England for Histon CC in the Cambridge and Hunts Premier League. His time in England included a knock of 290 runs from 149 balls against March Town CC which included 25 fours and 25 sixes. The Sydney Sixers is an Australian professional franchise men's cricket team, competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League (BBL). Along with the Sydney Thunder, the Sixers are the successors of the Speed Blitz Blues, New South Wales Blues who played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The One-Day Cup, for which the prize was renamed the Dean Jones Trophy from the 2024–25 season, is an Australian domestic List A 50-over limited-overs cricket tournament. It has had many different names, formats and teams since the inaugural 1969-1970 season. Initially a knockout cup, the competition now features a single round-robin followed by a finals series. The Perth Scorchers are an Australian men's professional Twenty20 franchise cricket team that competes in the Big Bash League.
