Jorge Moreira Da Silva
Jorge Manuel Lopes Moreira da Silva Order of Prince Henry, GOIH (born 24 April 1971) is a Portuguese people, Portuguese engineer and politician of the Social Democratic Party (Portugal), Social Democratic Party serving as the executive director of the United Nations Office for Project Services, UNOPS, since 2023. During his political career as an elected official, Moreira da Silva was member of the Portuguese Parliament and member of the European Parliament. Between 2003 and 2005 he was secretary of State for Science and Higher Education under Prime Minister José Manuel Durão Barroso and Secretary of State for the Environment and Territorial Planning under Prime Minister Pedro Santana Lopes. The Order of Prince Henry () is a Portuguese order of knighthood created on 2 June 1960, to commemorate the quincentenary of the death of the Portuguese ''infante'' Prince Henry the Navigator, one of the main initiators of the Age of Discovery.
