Jorge Martín (born 1959) is a Cuban-American composer.''The Miami Herald'': Before escaping Cuba, he was jailed for being outspoken and gay. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Classical music, Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Yaddo is an artists' community located on a estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. Its mission is "to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment.".
