John Rogan
John Rogan (February 12, 1867 – September 11, 1905; some sources indicate 1871 as his birth year), was an American sharecropper who was recorded as the tallest non-mobile person ever, and the second-tallest person ever at , behind Robert Wadlow. Biography John Rogan was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was the son of the former slave William Rogan, as the fourth of twelve children. His rapid growth began at the age of 13, due to gigantism. This led to ankylosis (an abnormal rigidity of the skeletal joints). By 1882, he could not stand or walk. Although unable to perform physical labor due to his condition, Rogan made a living by selling portraits and postcards at a train station. An 1897 article in the ''Kansas City Journal'' mentions that a number of his drawings were published. He declined all offers to join carnivals and sideshows. John P. Rogan (born January 30, 1960) is an American former professional football quarterback who played two seasons with the Montreal Concordes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Yale University. Early life John P. Rogan was born on January 30, 1960, in New York City. He attended Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York. College career Rogan was a member of the Yale Bulldogs of Yale University from 1978 to 1981 and a three-year letterman from 1979 to 1981. He split time with senior Dennis Dunn during his sophomore year in 1979, completing 40 of 96 passes (41.7%) for 686 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions while also scoring four rushing touchdowns. Rogan became the team's primary starter in 1980, recording 55 completions on 117 passing attempts (47.0%) for 891 yards, nine touchdowns, and seven interceptions, and two rushing touchdowns. John Rogan (14 February 1953 – 21 January 2021) was a British author of Irish descent best known for his books about music and popular culture. He wrote influential biographies of the Byrds, Neil Young, the Smiths, Van Morrison and Ray Davies.
