John Macmillan (actor)
John Macmillan (also credited as MacMillan) is a British actor. He began his career in theatre, earning an Ian Charleson Award nomination for his work in ''Hamlet'' and ''Macbeth''. He was nominated for a Satellite Award for his performance in the BBC Two adaptation of ''King Lear'' (2018). His television work includes the BBC One drama ''Silk'' (2011–2014), the Netflix sitcom ''Chewing Gum'' (2015–2017), and the Channel 4 sitcoms ''Back'' (2017–2021) and '' Hang Ups'' (2018). Early life Macmillan attended the Waterford Kamhlaba United World College in Mbabane, Swaziland (now Eswatini). He has also lived in Johannesburg, Malawi, Zambia, and Oxford. Macmillan trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In 2011, Macmillan opened a garden at Chatsworth Baptist Church School in West Norwood. Mbabane () is the most populous city in Eswatini (previously called Swaziland), and is one of the two Capital (political), capitals (along with Lobamba), serving as the Executive (government), executive capital. Joseph Wright (born 25 August 1972) is an English film director. ''Piranha Heights'' is a one act play by Philip Ridley. It is his seventh stage play for adults and premiered at the Soho Theatre, London in 2008. The Almeida Theatre is a 325-seat producing house located on Almeida Street off Upper Street in the London Borough of Islington. The theatre opened in 1980, and produces a diverse range of drama. Successful plays are often transferred to West End theatres. Building The building that now houses the theatre was originally constructed in 1837 for the newly formed Islington Literary and Scientific Society. It included a library, reading room, museum, laboratory, and a lecture theatre seating 500. The architects were the fashionable partnership of Robert Lewis Roumieu and Alexander Dick Gough.
