John Landon (Iowa Politician)
John Robert Landon (March 7, 1950 – July 29, 2021) was an American politician who served in the Iowa House of Representatives from the 37th district from 2013 to 2021. A Republican, Landon was born in State Center, Iowa and resided in Ankeny, Iowa. He had a B.S. in agriculture from Iowa State University Iowa State University of Science and Technology (Iowa State University, Iowa State, or ISU) is a Public university, public land-grant university, land-grant research university in Ames, Iowa, United States. Founded in 1858 as the Iowa Agricult .... , Landon served on several committees in the Iowa House – the Commerce, Human Resources, and Transportation committees. Early life John Landon was on November 9, 1833 in Cayuga County, New York born to parents Hermon (also spelled Harmon) and Betsey Landon. John, along with his father's family, moved to Springport, Michigan in 1835.
