John Kennedy (Australian Musician)
John Francis Kennedy (born John Kennedy 1 July 1958) is an English-born Australian musician and singer-songwriter–guitarist. He has been the leader of a number of groups including JFK & the Cuban Crisis (1980–84), and John Kennedy's Love Gone Wrong (1984–88). In 1984 he described his music as "urban and western". Early life John Kennedy was born in Liverpool, England on 1 July 1958. His father's name is also John Kennedy. In October 1965 the Kennedy family migrated to Australia and settled in Brisbane. Kennedy took the confirmation name, Francis, when he was ten and – as his middle name – it completes the famous JFK initials. According to his website, "It seemed like a good idea at the time. The joke has long since worn off for him, but it still takes some explaining." The Johnnys are an Australian Pub rock (Australia), pub rock band from Sydney. The band was formed in 1982 and is still active today. The band combines country music, country and punk musical styles. Michael Armiger
Michael William Armiger is an English-born Australian guitarist and teacher. He has been a member of various groups including Paul Kelly Band (1983–84), Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls (1985–86), John Kennedy's Love Gone Wrong (1987–88), The Johnnys (1988–89, 1991), The Go-Betweens (1989), and Sean Kelly and the Iron Dukes (1990). Biography Michael William Armiger was born in Hertfordshire. His father, John, played double bass, piano and sang in local bands; his mother also played piano and sang. His older brothers are Martin (born 1949), Keith and Andrew, and his younger brother is Christopher (born 1965). The family migrated to Australia by 1965 and they lived in Elizabeth, South Australia. Wayne Paul Connolly is an Australian music producer, audio engineer and musician. From 1991 to 1997 Connolly played lead guitar and sang in guitar group The Welcome Mat and released two studio albums. Since 1994, he has played in Knievel with Tracy Ellis and Nick Kennedy. Knievel have released four studio albums and a compilation of B-sides and rarities. Amanda Gabrielle Brown (born 17 November 1965) is an Australian composer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. She was the violinist of Australian indie rock band The Go-Betweens (1986–1989): recorded on their studio albums, ''Tallulah (The Go-Betweens album), Tallulah'' (1987) and ''16 Lovers Lane'' (1988). Brown has also worked as a session musician and, since 2000, as a screen music composer. Chad's Tree are an Australian rock band, formed in Perth in 1983 with two brothers, Mark and Rob Snarski, as the driving force.
