John Hunter Nemechek
John Hunter Nemechek (born June 11, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 42 Toyota Camry (XV80), Toyota Camry XSE for Legacy Motor Club. He is the son of NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek and was the 2012 champion in the Allison Legacy Series. Early life Nemechek was born on June 11, 1997, Nemechek is a native of Mooresville, North Carolina; he was named after his uncle, John Nemechek, who had been killed in a racing accident earlier that year in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He was a student at the Davidson Day School in Davidson, North Carolina. Nemechek was born the oldest of three full siblings. Nemechek also has one older half-brother. The 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was the 29th season of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season started with the NextEra Energy 250 on February 17 at Daytona International Speedway, and ended with the Craftsman 150 on November 3 at Phoenix Raceway. This was the first season of the Truck Series with Stanley Black & Decker as the series sponsor. Nashville Superspeedway is a tri-oval intermediate speedway in Lebanon, Tennessee. The track has held a variety of racing events since its opening in 2001, including NASCAR and the IndyCar Series. It is currently owned by Speedway Motorsports, LLC (SMI) since 2021 and led by track general manager Matt Greci. The track has a current permanent seating capacity of 25,000, with potential to expand to 38,000 with temporary grandstands. The 2024 Tennessee Lottery 250 was the 17th stock car race of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the 4th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Lebanon, Tennessee at Nashville Superspeedway, a permanent tri-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 188 laps to complete.
