John Glenn (1870s Outfielder)

	John Glenn (1870s Outfielder) John W. Glenn (January 1850 – November 10, 1888) was an American Major League Baseball player for four teams during his seven-year career. On November 10, 1888, Glenn died from injuries sustained from being accidentally shot the week prior by a police officer in Sandy Hill, New York. 	Outfielder An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder.
