John Raymond Patrick Fogarty (c. 1927 – 9 July 2007) was an Australian rugby union and rugby league footballer. He played two tests as a winger for the Wallabies in 1949. Fogarty started playing rugby for St. Joseph's Nudgee College in Brisbane. He played for Brothers Old Boys in the Brisbane club rugby competition. in a golden era for the club. He represented Queensland as a winger. Fogarty was a small player but was very fast and a good tackler. In 1949, Fogarty was chosen in two tests against a New Zealand Maori side in Brisbane and Sydney. He was also a member of the Australian touring team to New Zealand led by Trevor Allan that won the Bledisloe Cup for the first time. John Fogarty (born 18 October 1977) is an Irish rugby union former player who is now scrum coach for Ireland. During his playing career, in which he played as a hooker, Fogarty for three of the four Irish provincial teams; Munster, Connacht and Leinster. At international level, Fogarty played for Ireland A and Ireland. Fogarty hails from Cork and was educated in Rockwell College. Fogarty enjoyed a two-year spell with Munster, from 2000 to 2002, and after moving teams, made 107 appearances for the Connacht. He played 80 times in the Celtic League and 27 times in the European Challenge Cup since his debut in the 2003–04 season. Jon Fogarty (born May 23, 1975 in Palo Alto, California) is an American racing driver, who competes in the United SportsCar Championship for GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing. He won the 2007 and 2009 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype drivers' championship and is a two-time Atlantic Championship champion as well. Early racing career Fogarty competed in the Barber Dodge Pro Series from 1996 until 2000, finishing series runner-up twice. Following a year where he was injured in Indy Lights in 2001, he moved into Toyota Atlantic in 2002 and edged Michael Valiante for the series championship. Jon Fogarty (footballer)
Jonathon Alfred "Jon" Fogarty (born 31 January 1960) is a former Australian rules footballer who was highly successful in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), playing for the Swan Districts Football Club. Initially, Swan Districts recruited Fogarty from the Collie team Mines Rovers. As a mid-fielder, Fogarty played for the Swans from 1979–1985. In the seven seasons he played for, he notched up 133 games and kicked 38 goals. Fogarty was an integral part of the mid-field playing as a ruck rover in the victorious Grand Final sides of 1982, 1983 and 1984. John Fogarty (judge)
John Gerard Fogarty (12 August 1947 – 10 December 2022) was a New Zealand jurist. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1990, and served as a judge at the High Court from 2003 to 2017. Early life Fogarty was born in Greymouth on 12 August 1947. He studied law at the University of Canterbury, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1971, before completing a Master of Laws degree at the University of Toronto in 1974. Legal career Fogarty joined the Christchurch law firm of Weston Ward and Lascelles, becoming a partner in 1978. He began practising as a barrister sole in 1985, with an emphasis on public and commercial law, and also worked as an arbitrator and mediator. Fogarty was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1990. On 13 November 2003, Fogarty was sworn in as a judge of the High Court, serving until 11 August 2017. (born 9 April 1952) is an Irish people, Irish Catholic Church, Catholic priesthood (Catholic Church), priest who served as the 24th Superior General of the Holy Ghost Fathers, Congregation of the Holy Spirit, commonly known as the Spiritans.
