John Elliott (electronic Musician)
John Elliott (born June 22, 1984) is an American multidisciplinary artist from Cleveland, Ohio. A former member of Emeralds, Elliott has been involved in a number of solo projects and collaborations including Imaginary Softwoods, Mist (with Sam Goldberg), Outer Space (with Andrew Veres), and Organic Dial (with Andrew Veres). Elliott also curated the electronic music label Spectrum Spools, as well as Wagon, a label he set up with Emeralds guitarist, Mark McGuire. In 2016, Elliott won the Cleveland Arts Prize for Emerging Artist. On June 1, 2023, Elliott reunited with Emeralds to perform at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. Emeralds (band)
Emeralds is an American electronic music trio founded in 2006 by members John Elliott, Steve Hauschildt and Mark McGuire. The band was based in Cleveland, Ohio and then in Portland, Oregon, United States. History Emeralds' sound has been noted for drawing from Ambient music, minimal music, and Kosmische. John Elliott, Steve Hauschildt and Mark McGuire began playing music together under the name Fancelions in 2005 in Cleveland's western suburbs of Bay Village and Westlake. Shortly thereafter, they re-formed as Emeralds, playing their first show under that name in June 2006. Since then the group has released over forty recordings on various independent labels. Primavera Sound 2023
The Primavera Sound 2023 music festival was held between 1 and 3 June at the Parc del Fòrum, in Barcelona, Spain. The festival's line-up was headlined by Blur, Calvin Harris, Depeche Mode, Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, New Order and Rosalía. After the two-weekend format introduced the previous year, the festival went back to the usual three-day format in the city, but held a parallel festival in Madrid with a nearly identical lineup a week later under the tagline " I'll Be Your Mirror". The 21st edition of the festival, performances were also live-streamed on Amazon Music's Twitch channel, which was available to watch through Amazon Prime Video as well. Experimental music is a general label for any music or music genre that pushes existing boundaries and genre definitions. Kosmische
Krautrock (also called , German for ) is a broad genre of experimental rock that developed in Germany in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It originated among artists who blended elements of psychedelic rock, avant-garde composition, and electronic music, among other eclectic sources.
