Johannes Finne Brun (10 March 1832 – 7 March 1890) was a Norwegian stage actor. Brun was born in Verdal Municipality, Verdal. He made his stage debut as the character "Henrik" in Ludvig Holberg, Holberg's comedy ''Den Vægelsindede'' on 2 January 1850, at the first ordinary performance at Ole Bull's Det norske Theater (Bergen), Det norske Theater in Bergen (city), Bergen. He was married to actress Louise Brun (née Gulbrandsen) in 1851. From 1857 both Brun and his wife played at Christiania Theatre. Brun is regarded among the most important Norwegian actors of his time. Johannes Schwartz Brun (13 May 1891 – 24 July 1977) was a Norwegian businessperson, military officer and bridge champion. He was born in Fredrikstad as a son of Sven Busch Brun (1861–1916) and Signe Marie Friis Giebelhausen (1867–1949). He was married to Else Harder (1910–1951). He finished his secondary education in 1908, finished officer training in 1912 and finished commerce school in Hanover in 1913. He was the manager of timber export company Norsk Trælastexport from 1916 to 1935, and also edited the bridge column in the newspaper ''Aftenposten'' from 1924 to 1972. He served as president of the International Bridge League in 1938, was a president of the Norwegian Bridge Federation and was a player on the Norwegian national team. He became a member of the gentlemen's skiing club SK Fram in 1952, became deputy chairman in 1960 and chairman in 1963. He continued in the military and advanced to captain in 1928 and major in 1944. Johannes Bruyn (February 21, 1750 – February 10, 1814) was an American politician from Ulster County, New York. Early life Bruyn was born on February 21, 1750, in Shawangunk, New York. He was a son of Jacobus Bruyn and Jane (née Graham) Pruyn (d. 1764). Among his siblings was elder sister Gertruyd Bruyn (the wife of Cornelius DuBois), twin brothers Severyn Tenhout Bruyn (also a New York Assemblymen) and Jacobus S. Bruyn (also a New York Assemblymen and member of New York State Senate; married Margaret DeWitt, a daughter of Andries J. Johanne Bruhn-Johnsen (8 May 1890 – 24 December 1921) was a Norwegian actress and was one of the leading actors at the Det Norske Teatret. Early life and career Johanne Rosendahl was born on 8 May 1890 in Christiania. She was the older sister of actress Astrid Sommer. In 1909, Bruhn made her acting debut as Helga in '' Geografi og Kærlighed'', then toured Denmark with the Bjørnson tour. Subsequently, she worked with the Olaus Olsens Selskap. Afterwards, she was engaged by the Det Norske Teatret, where she had success as Neger-Gurina in ''Ungen''. Bruhn was also appeard in ''Lars Anders og Jan Anders'' at the same theatre in 1914. Johanne Marie Emilie Brun née Prieme (1874–1954) was a Danish operatic soprano. She made her début at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1896 as the Queen of the Night in ''The Magic Flute''. In 1916, after being honoured with the title of Royal Chamber Singer, she sang at opera houses in Germany, becoming a favourite of the Nuremberg opera and later performing in Aachen and Danzig. In 1924 she returned to Denmark where she had to cope with financial difficulties. Biography Born on 23 August 1874 in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Johanne Marie Emilie Prieme was the daughter of the commercial traveller Niels Lorenz Emil Prieme (1841–1882) and his wife Johanne Dorthea née Henriksen (1836–1907).
