Joggers' Park
Jogger's Park is a seaside jogging track along with a park in Bandra, Mumbai. It is situated at the southern end of the Carter Road. The park was opened to the public on 27 May 1990 and receives more than 2000 visitors on weekdays and double the number on Sundays. Its jogging track is 400 metres long. It features a mud strip for running and two paved tracks for walking or jogging. Development of the park is credited to the city's veteran hockey coach and former corporator, Oliver Andrade. Andrade's effort to rope in films star Dilip Kumar and Sunil Dutt, transformed the site from a dumping ground into a jogging track. The movie star's fund raising efforts led to financial assistance from the Rahejas, the Lokhandwalas and the Rizvi builders at a cost of ₹4 crore. In his memory, a plaque at the entrance of the park reads "From Sir with Love". Mumbai's first laughter club was launched at Joggers Park. Bandra
Bandra ( æːɳɖɾa is a coastal suburb located in Mumbai, the largest city of the Konkan division in Maharashtra, India. The area is located to the immediate north of the River Mithi, which separates Bandra from the Mumbai City district. It is the third-largest commercial hub in Maharashtra, after the Mumbai City and Pune, primarily aided by the Bandra Kurla Complex. Before the opening of Khar Road railway station on 1 July 1924, Bandra was a larger area and included the present day Khar neighbourhood. It was considered too large a suburb to be served by one railway station, and a railway station was established to give the northern part of Bandra closer access to the Western Railway line. Carter Road Promenade
The Sangeet Samrat Naushad Ali Marg (formerly known as Carter Road Promenade) is a long walkway along the Arabian Sea on the western coast of Mumbai, India. This promenade was opened up to the public in January 2002. The promenade has been managed by the Bandra West Residents' Association. The Carter Road Promenade extends up to Khar Danda. In May 2008, Carter Road was renamed as Sangeet Samrat Naushad Ali Marg, in the memory of Bollywood music director Naushad Ali. Geography Carter Road has a sea-facing location connecting Khar Danda in the north with Turner Road, Bandra in the south. The promenade is located along the Arabian Sea on the west-coast of Bandra and Khar, Mumbai, Khar. The walkway is 4,800 feet long. ''Mid-Day'' (stylised as mid-day) is a morning daily Indian compact newspaper. Editions in various languages including Gujarati and English have been published out of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune so far. In 2011, the Delhi and Bangalore editions were closed down. In 2014, Jagran Prakashan shut down the midday Pune edition as well. Establishment The paper was established in Mumbai by journalist Khalid Ansari in 1979 as a family-owned newspaper. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932 by P. Varadarajulu Naidu. It is headquartered in Noida, owned by the ''Indian Express Group''.
