Joe Marchant (rugby Union)
Joseph Marchant (born 16 July 1996) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a centre for Top 14 club Stade Français and the England national team. Early life Marchant was born on 16 July 1996 in Winchester. He began playing rugby at the age of 6. He studied at Peter Symonds College, taking a BTEC Extended Diploma in sport and was captain of the rugby side there. Marchant has also been schooled at Harestock and Henry Beaufort. He played for Winchester RFC as a school boy from 2002–12 and Symondians in 2013. He represented Hampshire rugby from u14-u18. Marchant is also a blackbelt in Karate. Club career Marchant joined the Harlequins academy in 2014 and made his club debut against the Newcastle Falcons in May 2015. Winchester (, ) is a City status in the United Kingdom, cathedral city in Hampshire, England. Winchester RFC is an English rugby union club affiliated with the Hampshire RFU. Winchester currently run four senior men's teams – 1st XV – who play in Regional 2 South Central, 2nd XV – who play in Counties 2 Hampshire, a 3rd XV – who play in Counties 4 Hampshire and the Knights – largely a veteran's side who play in Hampshire 5. Eddie Jones (rugby Union)
Edward Jones (born 30 January 1960), known commonly as Eddie, is an Australian rugby union coach and former player. He most recently coached the Australia national team from January until October 2023. He previously coached Australia, Japan and England. He returned to the role of Japan head coach in January 2024. He coached Australia between 2001 and 2005, taking the team to the 2003 Rugby World Cup final. He was an advisor with South Africa when the Springboks won the 2007 Rugby World Cup, and from 2012 to 2015 he coached Japan, leading them in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and an upset win over South Africa. Ireland National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Ireland national under-20 rugby team was formed in 2006, having previously been known as the under-21 team. History Ireland have won the Grand Slam four times and the Six Nations Championship five times: 2007, 2010, 2019, 2022 and 2023. In the pandemic-truncated competition in 2020, Ireland won the Triple Crown. At the time the competition was halted, Ireland were undefeated and led the table. However, this was not considered a championship nor a grand slam. Australia National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Australia national under-20 rugby union team, nicknamed the Junior Wallabies, is the national under-20 rugby union team that represents Australia. The team has been competing at the annual World Rugby U20 Championship since it began in 2008, replacing the previously held under-19 and under-21 championships. The team also competes at the Oceania U20 Championship as of 2015 and the U20 Rugby Championship since 2024. Australia's highest finish at the World Rugby U20 Championship was second-place in 2010 and 2019. The team finished third in 2011 by beating France in the third place playoff, and fourth in 2009 after losing to South Africa 32–5 in the third place playoff. Italy National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Italy national under-20 rugby union team has competed in both the IRB Junior World Championship and IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy. They were one of four teams relegated in 2009 to the Junior World Trophy after finishing at the bottom of the tournament. They were again promoted to the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship after winning the 2010 IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy. Italy finished in last place at the 2012 IRB Junior World Championship and had again been relegated to the Junior World Trophy for 2013. 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship
The 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship was the ninth annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams. The event was organised in England by rugby's governing body, World Rugby. Twelve nations took part in the tournament, which was held at two venues in Greater Manchester— AJ Bell Stadium in Salford and Manchester City Academy Stadium in Manchester. It was created in 2018 to replace the Anglo-Welsh Cup after the withdrawal of the Welsh regions. Sale Sharks are a professional rugby union club from Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It has previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. Newcastle Falcons
Newcastle Falcons is a rugby union team that play in Premiership Rugby, England's highest division of rugby union. The club was established in 1877 as the Gosforth Football Club. Around 1882 the club merged with the Northumberland Football Club and briefly assumed their name until 1887. In 1990, the name was changed to Newcastle Gosforth and the club began to play at Kingston Park stadium in Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.
