Jimmy Ryan (baseball)
James Edward Ryan (February 11, 1863 – October 29, 1923), nicknamed "Pony", was an American center fielder in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played between 1885 and 1903, primarily for the Chicago White Stockings / Colts / Orphans. He batted .300 eleven times, retiring with a career average of .308, and was the seventh player to hit 100 career home runs. Ryan set major league records for career games (1,945) and assists (375) as an outfielder that were later broken by Jesse Burkett and Tris Speaker respectively. He also ended his career ranking second in putouts (3,701) and fourth in double plays (71). Baseball career A native of Clinton, Massachusetts, Ryan started his major league career with Chicago of the National League (NL) in 1885. He played for the team until 1900, except for the 1890 season when he played for the Chicago Pirates of the Players' League.

Jimmy Ryan (footballer, Born 1945)
James Ryan (born 12 May 1945) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a winger. He spent the majority of his professional career in England, starting with Manchester United before moving to Luton Town in 1970. In 1976, he moved to the United States, where he played for the Dallas Tornado in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and the Wichita Wings in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Upon his return to England in 1984, Ryan took over as manager of Luton Town's reserve team before taking charge of the senior team from January 1990 to May 1991. In June 1991, he was appointed by Alex Ferguson as the manager of Manchester United's reserve team, a position he held for ten years. He was also the club's assistant manager for the 2001–02 season, before being made Director of Youth Football in 2002. James Ryan (born 6 September 1988) is an Irish former professional footballer that played as a midfielder. He made 419 league appearances in the EFL and was capped four times for the Republic of Ireland Under-21. Career Ryan began his career with Liverpool, and was part of their FA Youth Cup winning teams of 2006 and 2007. He plays for Republic of Ireland at youth level. He is known for his shots from distance, which accounted for most of his goals in the two FA Youth Cup runs. It was announced on 14 August 2007, that Ryan was to join League Two side Shrewsbury Town on a month's loan. He made his debut for Shrewsbury on 14 August 2007, playing the full 120 minutes of the 1–0 win over Colchester United in the League Cup. In October, a permanent deal was agreed, effective from 1 January 2008. James Christopher Ryan is an American singer. He is the original vocalist for the heavy metal bands Haste the Day, Trenches, and Upheaval. History Ryan began in the hardcore punk scene when he was 13, identifying with the straight edge and vegan culture. Although raised Catholic, he regarded organized religion as an authority figure to rebel against. Eventually, Ryan formed Upheaval with Brian Allen (bass), Jeremy King (drums), Nathan Stambro (guitars) and Ben Parrish (guitars) (also in Demiricous) in 1997. The band recorded their debut EP, ''Downfall of the Ascendancy of Man'' in 1997. In 1999, Ryan left the band along with Allen, and were replaced by Drew and Bryan Grimes. Jimmy Ryan's was a jazz club in New York City, USA, located at 53 West 52nd Street, Manhattan, from 1934 to 1962 and 154 West 54th Street from 1962 to 1983.
