Jimmy Olsen is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Olsen is most often portrayed as a young photojournalist working for the ''Daily Planet''. He is close friends with Lois Lane and Superman, Clark Kent, and has a good working relationship with his boss Perry White. Olsen looks up to his coworkers as role models and father figure, parent figures. Phil Noto is an American painter and comic book artist who is known for his work on such titles as ''Jonah Hex'', '' X-23'', ''Uncanny X-Force'' and, more recently, '' Black Widow''. He is known for playing Jimmy Olsen in the ''Superman'' series of films released between 1978 and 1987, and Dave McFly in the ''Back to the Future'' films. It stars an uncredited Kirk Alyn (billed on-screen only by his character's name, Superman; but credited as Kirk Alyn on the promotional posters) and Noel Neill as Lois Lane. It was the first live-action appearance of Superman on film.
