Jimmy Harris (footballer, Born 1907)
James William Harris (9 March 1907 – 1974) was an English professional footballer who played as an outside-forward in the Football League for West Ham United and Southampton in the 1930s. Football career Harris was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and played his early football with Folkestone in the Southern League Eastern Section before joining West Ham United of the Football League First Division in December 1929. He made his debut for the Hammers on Christmas Day 1930, playing at inside-left in the absence of Jimmy Ruffell, in a 4–3 victory over Portsmouth and retained his place for a further three matches, scoring in a 5–5 draw against Aston Villa on 3 January 1931. Following Ruffell's return, he only made one further appearance that season, in April, followed by two in January/February 1932. Jimmy Harris (footballer, Born 1933)
James Harris (18 August 1933 – April 2022) was an English professional footballer who played as a centre forward for Everton and Birmingham City in the First Division. The strengths of his game were his pace and a clear eye for goal. Biography Harris made his debut for Everton, replacing Dave Hickson, in 1955 and finished his debut season as the club's top scorer with 21 goals in all competitions. He was also capped for England under-23 that season, scoring in a 3–1 win against Scotland under-23 at Hillsborough in February 1956. When moved to outside right on Hickson's return in 1957 he was able to use his pace and still kept scoring. The following season, 1957–58, he scored a hat-trick away at Tottenham Hotspur only for Everton to lose 10–4. In 1960, having scored 72 goals in 207 appearances in all competitions for Everton, Harris was sold to Birmingham City for a fee of £20,000. Jimmy Harris (politician)
James Harris III is an American politician from New Orleans, Louisiana. A Democrat, Harris has represented District 4 in the Louisiana State Senate since 2020; he previously represented District 99 in the Louisiana House of Representatives between 2016 and 2020. Career Before entering elected office, Harris worked as an aide for U.S. Representative Cedric Richmond, as well as working for several other elected officials in the state. With Richmond's backing, he ran in 2015 for District 99 in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Harris defeated Markeita Prevost and Ray Crawford after two rounds of voting. In 2019, Harris announced that he would run for District 4 in the Louisiana State Senate, which was vacated by Wesley Bishop, Harris' predecessor in the House. Harris was elected with no opponents from either party.
