Jetty Road (band)
Jetty Road are an Australian country music trio comprising identical twin sisters Lee Bowman and Paula Bowman, both on vocals, with Julian Sammut on lead guitar. Founding multi-instrumentalist member, Simon Ross left in 2012. They have released five albums, ''Full Circle'' (2005), ''Dirt Roads City Lights'' (2007), ''Life at a Million Miles'' (2009), ''Far Away Places'' (2011) and ''Hearts on Fire'' (2015). The group have won two Country Music Awards of Australia Golden Guitar trophies. ''Hearts on Fire'' peaked in the top 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Tamworth Country Music Festival
The Tamworth Country Music Festival is an annual Australian music festival held for 10 days from Friday to Sunday in mid to late January each year, sometimes including Australia Day, in Tamworth, New South Wales. The festival is the second biggest country music festival in the world, after the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The festival is a celebration of country music culture and heritage, in particular the national Australian country music scene, with numerous concerts and live performances at various venues. The Country Music Awards of Australia also known as the Golden Guitar Awards (originally named Australasian Country Music Awards) is an annual awards night held in January during the Tamworth Country Music Festival, in Tamworth, New South Wales, celebrating recording excellence in the Australian country music industry. Box Hill Institute is a provider of vocational and higher education located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne in Victoria. The Box Hill Institute has three locations in Box Hill (Elgar, Nelson & Whitehorse), two in Lilydale (John St and Jarlo Dve), and one in Melbourne CBD, where it is co-located with the Centre for Adult Education. The Big Valley Jamboree, commonly referred to as "BVJ", is an annual country music festival held in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. Established in 1992, the Jamboree is held during the Civic Holiday in August and features country singers from North America. Performers at BVJ have included Tim McGraw, Gary Allan, Kevin Costner, and Josh Turner in 2009 and Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, and Reba McEntire in 2015. John Nutting (born in Margate, England) is an Australian radio presenter. Nutting was host of country music show '' Saturday Night Country'' on ABC Local Radio across Australia for 17 years between 1993 and 2010. In 2010, Nutting announced he was retiring from radio and was replaced by Felicity Urquhart on ''Saturday Night Country'' from the end of February 2010. In 2013, Nutting returned to radio as host of ''Saturday Breakfast'' on ABC North Queensland in Townsville. He continued in this role until October 2015. James Blundell (singer)
James Blundell (born 8 December 1964) is an Australian country music singer. Born in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Blundell first rose to prominence after being named "best new talent" at the 1987 Country Music Awards of Australia. Blundell has since released several albums in both Australia and the United States, with his most successful album '' This Road'' (released in 1992) selling more than 145,000 copies in Australia. Blundell was an unsuccessful candidate for the Senate in Queensland at the 2013 federal election, running for Katter's Australian Party.
