''Before Twilight'' () is a 2008 Polish comedy drama film directed by Jacek Bławut. The film is about a group of old retired theatre actors in a retirement home for actors who aim to regroup and stage Goethe's ''Faust''. The film stars a number of esteemed veteran Polish actors including Irena Kwiatkowska and Roman Kłosowski, who plays Nostradamus. The film, produced in 2008, was featured at the 2008 Polish Feature Film Festival where it won a Silver Lion award for director Jacek Bławut and picked up several other awards. It was later released theatrically in Poland on 15 May 2009. The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra were invited to perform part of the soundtrack. Wieńczysław Gliński (10 May 1921 – 8 July 2008) was a Polish stage and film actor. He was a member of the Polish resistance movement Home Army during World War II. He was also a prisoner in the Nazi German concentration camp Majdanek. After the war Wieńczysław Gliński has starred in many movies. Witold Skaruch (11 January 1930 – 17 February 2010) was a Polish character actor and director. He appeared in films, television shows and miniseries from 1953 until 2009. Skaruch, who was born in Ciechanów, Poland, began his professional acting career as a journalist on '' Trzy starty'' in 1953. His career continued until in 2009. Skaruch's notable film roles included 1962's ''How to Be Loved'', the 1963 film '' New Year's Romance'', '' Pan Pan Michael'' in 1969, and ''Fears'', which was released in 1979.
