Jeremy Cornish
Jeremy Cornish (born December 7, 1979) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who currently coaches Streatham IHC of the NIHL. While he was playing, he was mainly used as an enforcer. Born in London, Ontario, Cornish turned pro in 2000, splitting the year in the ECHL with the Dayton Bombers and in the United Hockey League for the Port Huron Border Cats. He also played for the UHL's Flint Generals and the Central Hockey League for the San Angelo Outlaws, Laredo Bucks and the Memphis Riverkings before moving to the United Kingdom in 2004, joining the Elite League's London Racers. He stayed for a second season, but midway through the 2005-06 season, the Racers folded, having been forced to move venues due to safety concerns, stemming from Blaž Emeršič suffering severe facial injuries during a game after being crashed into the boards. Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. Streatham Redskins
The Streatham Ice Hockey Club (formerly Streatham Redskins and RedHawks) is a British ice hockey club based in Streatham, London, England. Amongst the oldest British ice hockey teams still in existence, they were founded in 1932 as Streatham, and added the name Redskins in 1974. During the 1980s, the club were one of the leading teams in the British Hockey League, their biggest rivals being the Nottingham Panthers. By the end of the 1980s, however, the club's fortunes were in decline and they were relegated from the Premier Division in 1989. The club competes in the developmental NIHL South Division 1, where they finished runners-up to the Invicta Dynamos in the 2006/07 & 2007/2008 season. International Hockey League (2007-)
The United Hockey League (UHL), originally known as the Colonial Hockey League from 1991 to 1997 and last known as the International Hockey League from 2007 to 2010, was a low-level minor professional ice hockey league, with teams in the United States and Canada. The league was headquartered in Rochester, Michigan, and, in its last year, consisted of seven teams. It folded in 2010, with most of its teams joining the Central Hockey League. The Bloomington PrairieThunder were a minor professional ice hockey team based in Bloomington, Illinois. They were a member of the Central Hockey League in the Turner Conference. Blaž Emeršič (born October 10, 1980 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian ice hockey player currently playing for Milton Keynes Lightning of the English Premier Ice Hockey League. Career He began his career with Olimpija Ljubljana before moving to North America in 1999. He went to play for teams in the Central Hockey League, the ECHL and the American Hockey League. Emeršič moved to the United Kingdom in 2005, signing for the Elite League's Nottingham Panthers. On November 5, 2005, in an Elite League match against the London Racers, he received severe facial injuries after being checked into the side of the rink. He made a full recovery and continued to play for the Panthers until moving to the Slough Jets in 2006.
