Jenny Don't And The Spurs
Jenny Don't and the Spurs are an American country western band based in Portland, Oregon. The band's style has been described variously as honky tonk, garage rock, and cowpunk. History Early years (2012–2014) Jenny Don't and the Spurs was formed in the winter of 2012 by Jenny Don't and Kelly Halliburton. Both Jenny and Kelly were already involved in touring bands: Don’t and Pierced Arrows, respectively. Described by Kelly as a “kitchen table project”, the band initially focused on covering classic country artists such as Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr, Ernest Tubb, and Loretta Lynn. Soon after the band's formation, Sam Henry ( Wipers, Napalm Beach), who was the drummer in Don't, was invited to join the duo. Frederick Lee Cole (August 28, 1948 – November 9, 2017) was an American rock singer and guitarist who played with several bands from the 1960s until his death, most notably The Lollipop Shoppe, Dead Moon, and Pierced Arrows. He was associated mainly with the Garage punk (fusion genre), garage punk genre though he was also influenced by hard rock, blues, country music, country, and folk music. The majority of his recorded output was self-financed and independently released on his own record label, Tombstone Records. Collin Hegna
Collin Hegna is a Portland, Oregon-based musician, composer, and recording engineer. Hegna founded the Spaghetti Western–themed indie rock combo Federale and remains their principal songwriter. Dale Watson (born October 7, 1962) is an American country/ Texas country singer, guitarist, songwriter, and self-published author based in Marshall, Texas. Biography Watson was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved outside of Wilmington, North Carolina, when he was less than a year old. The family moved to Pasadena, Texas, in 1977. He was one of four boys. Watson's father and his brother, Jim, were both musically inclined and guided what have become his longstanding musical influences.
