Jennifer E. Nashold
Jennifer Elise Nashold is an American attorney, currently serving as a judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She was elected in 2019. Early life and career Nashold was born in Madison, Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1993. After graduating law school, Nashold has spent her entire legal career in public service. She served as a law clerk for Justice Miriam Shearing of the Supreme Court of Nevada and then–Judge Jesse Walters of the Idaho Court of Appeals. From 1996 to 1997, she served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Ada County, Idaho. Wisconsin Court Of Appeals
The Wisconsin Court of Appeals is an intermediate appellate court that reviews contested decisions of the Wisconsin circuit courts. The Court of Appeals was created in August 1978 to alleviate the Wisconsin Supreme Court's rising number of appellate cases. Published Court of Appeals opinions are considered binding precedent until overruled by the Supreme Court; unpublished opinions are not. The Court hears most appeals in three-judge panels, but appeals of circuit court decisions in misdemeanor, small claims, and municipal ordinance cases are decided by a single judge. Composition The Court of Appeals comprises 16 judges elected to six-year terms in four geographic districts. Jim Doyle
James Edward Doyle Jr. (born November 23, 1945) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 44th governor of Wisconsin from 2003 to 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, he narrowly defeated incumbent Republican governor Scott McCallum in his first election to the governorship. Although in 2002 Democrats increased their number of governorships, Doyle was the only one of them to unseat a Republican. Prior to the governorship, Doyle served as Wisconsin Attorney General from 1991 to 2003. As of 2016, he is currently an attorney 'of counsel' in the Madison, Wisconsin office of the law firm of Foley & Lardner and serves on the corporate board of Epic Systems and Exact Sciences. Steven Foti
Steven M. Foti (born December 3, 1958) is an American lobbyist and Republican politician from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He served 22 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1983–2005), and was majority leader for four terms, from 1997 to 2005. He now works as a lobbyist for Michael Best Strategies. Foti was one of several state legislators charged in a 2002 scandal in which public employees were found to have been performing campaign work. Foti pleaded to a misdemeanor, was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and ordered to reimburse the state $300,000 in staff salaries and benefits. Scott Richard Jensen (born August 24, 1960) is an American public relations professional and Republican politician from Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was the 74th speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly (1997–2003), and served a total of 14 years in the Assembly (1992–2006). Prior to his years in the Assembly, he served as chief of staff to Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson. Charles Joseph "Chuck" Chvala (born December 5, 1954) is an American real estate dealer, lawyer, and former politician. He served 20 years in the Wisconsin State Senate, representing Dane County, and was the Democratic caucus leader from 1995 through 2002.
