Jeff Fisher
Jeffrey Michael Fisher (born February 25, 1958) is an American football coach who is the head coach and general manager for the Michigan Panthers of the United States Football League (USFL). He is a former cornerback and return specialist. He served as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) for 22 seasons, primarily with the Houston / Tennessee Oilers / Titans franchise. He coached the Oilers / Titans from 1994 to 2010 and the St. Louis / Los Angeles Rams from 2012 to 2016. After playing college football at University of Southern California, he was drafted in the seventh round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, and played with the Bears for five seasons. He won a Super Bowl ring in 1985 while on injured reserve during his final season as a player. Jeff Fisher is a SOCAN award-winning American composer, producer, arranger and musician born in Montreal, Quebec. He is probably best known for composing the soundtrack for the original run of the YTV-CINAR horror anthology series, ''Are You Afraid of the Dark?'', and has composed Proteus 2 scores for the other CINAR-produced programs including ''The Little Lulu Show'', '' The Baskervilles'', and '' Animal Crackers''. Fisher worked on two of Leonard Cohen's most successful albums, '' I'm Your Man'', arranging and playing all the music on the hit song " First We Take Manhattan", and its follow up, ''The Future''. He has toured extensively with international recording artists. Geoffrey Fisher
Geoffrey Francis Fisher, Baron Fisher of Lambeth, (5 May 1887 – 15 September 1972) was an English Anglican priest, and 99th Archbishop of Canterbury, serving from 1945 to 1961. From a long line of parish priests, Fisher was educated at Marlborough College and Exeter College, Oxford. He achieved high academic honours but was not interested in a university career. He was ordained priest in 1913, and taught at Marlborough for three years; in 1914, aged 27, he was appointed headmaster of Repton School where he served for 18 years. In 1932, having left Repton, he was made Bishop of Chester. In 1939 he accepted the post of Bishop of London, the third most senior post in the Church of England. His term of office began shortly after the start of the Second World War, and his organising skills were required to keep the diocese functioning despite the devastation of the London Blitz. 1981 Eastern Suburbs Roosters Season
The 1981 Eastern Suburbs Roosters season was the 74th in the club's history. Coached by Bob Fulton and captained by Royce Ayliffe, they played in the pre-season 1981 Craven Mild Cup, which they won and also in the 1981 Tooth Cup. The Roosters competed in the NSWRFL's 1981 premiership, finishing the regular season 1st (out of 12) to claim the minor premiership. They then came within one match of the grand final but were knocked out by the Newtown Jets. Jeff Fisher (born September 5, 1960) is an author, sports journalist and play-by-play announcer who co-founded High School Football America, a digital media sports company in 2004. On September 4, 2018, Skyhorse Publishing released Fisher's first book ''High School Football in Texas – Amazing Football Stories From the Greatest Players of Texas'', which features one-on-one interviews with nearly fifty past and present National Football League players, including nine of whom are currently enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, talking about their favorite Texas high school football memories.
