''Jax and the Hellhound'' is a Limited series (comics), limited series comic book by Dennis Francis (artist), Dennis Morales Francis and published by Blackthorne Publishing. The series was about a young man who traveled around the world helping the U.S. government fight the bad guys and helping a canine demon keep the really bad creatures from entering Earth. The combination of 1980's futility of the war on drugs mirrored the fantasy aspects of the policing of inter-dimensional space. Plot Jacob (Jax) Marosco is mentored by Mulu, a Dimensional Occult Guardian. The three issue storyline centered on the demi-god Jareda who wished to attempt a resurrection on Earth. Jax and Mulu are committed to stopping him at any cost, including their lives. The story covered the war on drugs, mysticism, and a romantic relationship with an older woman. The Portland LumberJax (sometimes referred to as the Jax) were a professional box lacrosse team based in Portland, Oregon, which played in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) starting in the 2006 season and ending operations after the 2009 season. Jacksonville International Airport is a civil-military public airport 13 miles (21 km) north of Downtown Jacksonville, in Duval County, Florida, United States. It is owned and operated by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. History Construction started in 1965 on a new airport to handle travel to nearby naval bases. The new airport was dedicated on September 1, 1968, replacing Imeson Field which carried the same IATA code of JAX. Terrain precluded lengthening the runways at Imeson, a necessity with the inception of commercial jet airliners. A new idea at JIA was separating departing and arriving passengers on different sides of the terminal.
