Jat's Incline () is a road in Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Location Jat's Incline connects Clear Water Bay Road in the south to the junction of Shatin Pass Road and the western end Fei Ngo Shan Road, next to the top of Tate's Cairn in the north. History The road was built in 1907 by the 119th Infantry (later renamed the 2nd Battalion of the 9th Jat Regiment, abbreviated to “2/9 Jat Regt”) and repaired in 1932 by the 3rd Battalion of the 9th Jat Regiment (abbreviated to “3/9 Jat Regt”). Clear Water Bay Road () is a major road from Choi Hung Interchange in Ngau Chi Wan to Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung District. It also is a route to Sai Kung Town and Tseung Kwan O via Hiram's Highway and Hang Hau Road / Ying Yip Road respectively. An expressway deviation, New Clear Water Bay Road (), bypasses a steep, winding, 1 in 6 alignment of Clear Water Bay Road near Shun Lee and Fei Ngo Shan. Shatin Pass Road
Shatin Pass Road () is a road in the Wong Tai Sin District of Kowloon, Hong Kong, linking the Wong Tai Sin area in the south to the junction of Fei Ngo Shan Road and Jat's Incline in the north. Along the way, it passes through the Tsz Wan Shan area and Sha Tin Pass. The northern part of Shatin Pass Road, between Sha Tin Pass and the junction of Fei Ngo Shan Road and Jat's Incline, is part of the Stage 4 of the Wilson Trail and Section 5 of the MacLehose Trail. This section of the road also marks the border between Sha Tin District and Wong Tai Sin District. History Shatin Pass Road was built by the British Army to access Sha Tin Pass and its remote villages in the Sha Tin District from Kowloon. Fei Ngo Shan Road
Kowloon Peak, also known as Fei Ngo Shan (literally: "Soaring Goose Mountain", Chinese: 飛鵝山), is a mountain in the northeast corner of New Kowloon, Hong Kong, situated in Ma On Shan Country Park. With the summit located just to the east of the border between Wong Tai Sin and Sai Kung districts, it is the tallest mountain in Kowloon, and is crossed by both the Wilson Trail and the MacLehose Trail. On the lower slopes of Tung Yeung Shan about to the north is the Gilwell Campsite, belonging to The Scout Association. Geography Kowloon Peak has a steep slope facing south towards while having a relatively smooth curve towards the east and west. Tate's Cairn or Tai Lo Shan () is a mountain in Hong Kong at in height. It is one of the peaks of the Kowloon Ridge and falls within Ma On Shan Country Park. The peak began to appear on colonial maps in the 1860s but remained unnamed until the beginning of the 20th century. Background The origins of the peak's English name is unknown, but it may originate from maps created by a surveyor named George Passman Tate, Assistant Superintendent of Indian Survey Department who is responsible for government maps of Hong Kong and New Territories in 1899 and 1900.
