Jason Thomas Knight (born July 14, 1992) is an American bare knuckle boxer and a professional mixed martial artist. He has previously competed in the UFC and Titan FC. Background Reared in D'Iberville, Mississippi, Knight began training at the age of 14 to stay out of trouble and street fighting. He attended George County High School before dropping out at the age of 16, and began training with UFC veteran Alan Belcher. Mixed martial arts career Early career Knight began competing as an amateur at the age of 14, and fought ten times before turning professional in 2009 at age 17. He then compiled a record of 16–1 before being signed by the UFC. Ultimate Fighting Championship Knight made his promotional debut against Tatsuya Kawajiri on December 11, 2015 at The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale, replacing Mirsad Bektić on two weeks' notice. Jason Paul Knight (born 13 February 2001) is an Irish footballer who plays as a midfielder for the EFL League One club Derby County and for the Republic of Ireland national team. Club career Early career Knight began his career at Cabinteely, playing for the club from age 4. He was signed by Derby County at age 16. Derby County During the 2018–19 season, Knight was a part of Derby's U18 Premier League title success. He was an unused substitute in Derby's play-off second leg against Leeds United and the final against Aston Villa in which Derby missed out on promotion to the Premier League. In the 2019–20 season under a new manager, Phillip Cocu, Knight was a regular in the first team squad and made his first team debut on 5 August 2019 in a 2–1 win away at Huddersfield Town. He is best known for his stints in Eastern / Extreme Championship Wrestling, where he was a one time World Television Champion. Professional wrestling career World Wrestling Federation (1992, 1993) After debuting in 1984, Knight wrestled on independent circuit before making numerous appearances for the World Wrestling Federation in 1992 and 1993 as an enhancement talent. He made his first appearance on the July 4, 1992 episode of ''WWF Superstars'', losing to Rick Martel. He would go on to lose matches in singles and tag team competition throughout July and August against Ric Flair, The Nasty Boys, The Mountie, Skinner, The Beverly Brothers and The Berzerker. ''Forged in Fire'' is an American competition series that airs on the History channel and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company. In each episode, four bladesmiths compete in a three-round elimination contest to forge bladed weapons, with the overall winner receiving $10,000 and the show's championship title "Forged in Fire Champion". The series has a host (formerly Wil Willis for the first seven seasons, currently hosted by Grady Powell) and a three-judge panel consisting of J. Neilson (Jason Knight during portions of season 3 and 4; Ben Abbott during portions of season 4th, 5th, 6th and remaining in the 7th season), David Baker, and Doug Marcaida: experts in weapon making, history and use.
