Janna (Kannada : ಮಹಾಕವಿ ಜನ್ನ) was one of the well-known Kannada poets of the early 13th century who also served in the capacity of a minister and a builder of temples. He graced the court of Hoysala empire King Veera Ballala II and earned the title ''Kavichakravarthi'' ("Emperor among poets"). His noteworthy writings include ''Yashodhara Charitre'' (c.1209) which deals with Jain tenets, ''Ananthnatha Purana'' (c.1230) which deals with the teachings of the 14th Jain tirthankara, Anantanatha and a short piece called ''Anubhava Mukura''. Ain Janna
Ain Janna (Arabic: عين جنّا) is a village located in the Ajloun Governorate in the north-western part of Jordan. The name is Arabic for ''Spring of Paradise'': Ain is a ''spring'' (of water), and Janna is ''Paradise''. The name was being his own given to the village due to the abundance of water springs and apparent availability of water in the village and its surroundings. As a matter of fact, Ain Janna still has some springs, causing its landscape to be green and crystal clear. It is about to the north of Amman, capital of Jordan. It lies on two juxtaposed mountains, and has a view over Ajlun's Castle and three towns. Average altitude of the village is about 1100 meters above sea level, causing most of the houses in the village to have a view reaching far beyond Jordan; one can easily see some mountains of Nablus in the West Bank (about 30 km /22 miles air distance). The Janna Mysteries
''The Janna Mysteries'', a medieval crime series by Felicity Pulman, follows Janna (Johanna is her full name) and her quest to find her father in order to seek vengeance for the death of her mother. Janna Taylor (born September 9, 1948) was the Speaker pro Tempore for the Montana House of Representatives in 2011. She was a Republican for District 11, which represents the Dayton area. Janna Allen
Janna Allen (May 12, 1957 – August 25, 1993) was an American songwriter. She is best known as a co-writer of some of the biggest hits recorded by Hall & Oates, in collaboration variously with Daryl Hall, John Oates and her sister Sara Allen, who was Hall's longtime girlfriend and the person for whom the duo's hit song " Sara Smile" was written. Among Janna Allen's most successful co-written songs for Hall & Oates were "Kiss on My List" and " Private Eyes", both of which reached #1 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in 1981. She worked as a receptionist at the time of the two songs' release. She also co-wrote Hall & Oates' top 10 singles "Did It in a Minute" and "Method of Modern Love". Janna Malamud Smith (born 1952) is an American non-fiction writer. She was born in Corvallis, Oregon in 1952, the second of two children born to Ann DeChiara Malamud and the writer Bernard Malamud. She grew up in Oregon, then in Bennington, Vermont, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. She received her A.B. from Harvard University in 1973, majoring in American history and literature, and an M.S.W. in 1979 from Smith College. She practices and teaches psychotherapy in the Boston area. She is married to David Smith, and is the mother of two children. Smith has lectured widely, and has published nationally and internationally in many newspapers, magazines and journals. She is the author of four books.
