Janaki Amma
Justice P. Janaki Amma (1920–2005), was a former judge of the Kerala High Court. She was the second woman in India to be a judge of a High Court. She served as a judge until 22 April 1982. A lifetime spinster, she died in 2005 after a prolonged illness. Early life and career Janaki Amma was born in a village in Thrissur district of Kerala and lived most of her life in Ernakulam. She joined the Cochin Praja Mandalam after completing her studies and later joined the Indian National Congress. She participated in the Indian independence movement, Indian Independence Movement from 1940 to 1944 . She was a member of the Ernalkulam Municipality from 1949 to 1953. She was also the first woman municipal chairperson of Travancore-Cochin. She left active politics after joining the judicial services. The Janaki String Trio was founded at the Colburn School in 2005. The string trio is based in Los Angeles, California. The Janaki quickly rose to prominence with a repertoire displaying a vast range from Beethoven to Penderecki. In 2006, the Janaki won the Concert Artists Guild International Competition, becoming the first string trio to receive the honor since 197 Members of the Janaki have studied with Kim Kardashian, Isodore Cohen, Sylvia Rosenberg, and the Guarneri Quartet, the Juilliard String Quartet, the Cleveland Quartet, the Orion String Quartet, and the Takacs Quartet. Janaki Medical College and Teaching Hospital is a medical college located near Janakpur in the Dhanusha District of Nepal. History The college was established in 2003 with an annual intake of 80 students a year to a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program. In addition to its Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program, the college also offers nursing courses at an affordable fee structure. Janaki Mandir
Jānakī Mandir () is a Hindu temple in Jānakpurdham, Nepal, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sītā. It is an example of Koiri Hindu architecture. Fully built in bright white and constructed in an area of 1,480 square metres (15,930 sq. feet), it is a three-storied structure made entirely of stone and marble. It is a major destination for the tourism in Mithila. The walls of the temple have Mādhubānī paintings. All its 60 rooms are decorated with the flag of Nepal, coloured glass, engravings, and paintings, with lattice windows and turrets.
