James Lee Carragher (born 11 November 2002) is an English professional association football, footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Wigan Athletic F.C., Wigan Athletic. Early and personal life James Lee Carragher was born on 11 November 2002 in Liverpool, Merseyside. He is the son of the former footballer Jamie Carragher. Career Carragher began playing football with Liverpool F.C., Liverpool as an under-8 in 2011. He joined the youth academy of Wigan Athletic F.C., Wigan Athletic in 2017. Carragher captained Wigan's under-18s as they won the Professional Development League, U18 Professional Development League in the 2020–21 season. He signed his first professional contract with Wigan on 4 August 2021. The 2022–23 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, will be the eighth season under English football's new title of the National League, the twentieth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-fourth season overall.
