Jai Shri Krishna (TV Series)
''Jai Shri Krishna'' () is an Indian drama (film and television), drama television series produced by Sagar Pictures, which aired on Colors TV from 21 July 2008 to 15 September 2009. It is the remake of Ramanand Sagar's successful show ''Krishna (TV series), Sri Krishna'' and was handled by his son Moti Sagar of Sagar Pictures. It is based on Mahabharata, Harivamsa, Bhagavata Purana, and the Vishnu Purana. Plot ''Jai Shri Krishna'' tells the story of the Bhagavan Vishnu's avatar, Shree Krishna. The story takes place in India, covering cities like Gokhul, Mathura, Hastinapur, and Dawaraka. It shows the different leelas, or stories, of Shree Krishna from his birth, childhood, teenage years, and time as prince of Mathura and prince of Dvārakā, Dwarka. Gopi (, ) or Gopika in Hinduism are commonly referred to the group of milkmaids of Braj. In Hindu mythology, Rohini (, ) is the first consort of Vasudeva , and the mother of the Hindu deities Balarama and Subhadra. She plays a prominent role in the upbringing of Krishna. Nanda (Hinduism)
Nanda or Nandagopa (, ) is a cow-herd chief, and the foster-father of Krishna, featured in the Harivamsha and the Puranas. Nanda is the son of Parjanya, a ruler of the Vraja region, who is a son of Devamidha. He is the chief of Gokulam, which was one of the mandals of the yadava tribe. Paundraka Vāsudēva was a king appearing in Mahabharata and Bhagavata Purana. According to it, he was the king of Pundra Kingdom.
