Jagir (1984 Film)
''Teen Murti'' (in Bengali; ), also known as ''Jagir'' (in Hindi ), is a 1984 Indian bilingual dacoit western film simultaneously shot in Bengali and Hindi-languages, produced and directed by Pramod Chakravorty in his debut in Bengali cinema, under his banner of Pramod Films. The film stars an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Zeenat Aman, Shoma Anand, Pran, Amrish Puri and Ranjeet. The film plots three friends unfolding the truth of their past wrongs, which involves a hidden treasure and familial secrets. Written by Sachin Bhowmick, the film was initially planned in 1976 under the title "Teen Farishtey" in Hindi, with another star cast, while later it got shelved and re-announced in 1983 to be a bilingual film. Pramod Chakravorty (15 August 1929 – 12 December 2004) was an Indian Hindi film producer and director. Career Chakravorty is best known for directing Hindi film classics like ''Ziddi (1964 film), Ziddi'', ''Love in Tokyo'', ''Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai'' in romantic genre and action films like ''Jugnu (1973 film), Jugnu'' (1973), ''Jagir'' and ''Shatru (1986 film), Shatru''. Mohan Makijany (24 April 1938 – 10 May 2010), popularly known as Mac Mohan, was an Indian actor, who worked in Hindi cinema. He was known for his villainous roles in films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Ashalata Wabgaonkar (2 July 1941 – 22 September 2020), better known as Ashalata, was an Indian actress. Originally tracing her roots to Palolem, Goa, she was associated with the Mumbai-based Goa Hindu Association. She acted in over a hundred Hindi and Marathi movies. Asit Sen (13 May 1917 – 18 September 1993) was an Indian film director turned famous comedian in the Hindi film industry. He directed 2 films and starred in over 200 films between 1953 and 1993 until his death. As an actor/comedian, he often portrayed a character with authority, such as a police inspector or landlord, but with comic effect, mostly as a slow-speaking person. Iftekhar Ahmed Sharif (22 February 1920 – 4 March 1995), often mononymously credited as Iftekhar or Iftikhar, was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for his film roles as a police officer. Career Iftekhar was born in Jalandhar and was the eldest among four brothers and a sister. After completing his matriculation, Iftekhar did a diploma course in painting from Lucknow College Of Arts. Praveen Kumar Sobti (6 December 1947 – 7 February 2022) was an Indian hammer and discus thrower, actor, politician, and soldier with Border Security Force.
