Jacob Heron
Jacob Heron (born 10 December 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Heron was raised in Cairns, Queensland and attended St Augustine's College. He grew up playing his junior football for the Cairns Saints in the AFL Cairns competition. Towards the end of his junior football, he relocated to the Gold Coast as part of the Gold Coast Suns Academy and began playing for Palm Beach Currumbin as well as attending Palm Beach Currumbin High School. The Gold Coast Suns is a professional Australian rules football club that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club is based on Queensland's Gold Coast in the suburb of Carrara. The club has been playing in the AFL since the 2011 season, having been founded as the league's 17th active club by a consortium formerly known as "GC17" and being granted a licence to join the AFL on 31 March 2009. The 2018 AFL season was the 122nd season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 22 March until 29 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Cairns
Cairns (, ) is a city in Queensland, Australia, on the tropical north east coast of Far North Queensland.
