The Jacksons Creek biik wurrdha Regional Parklands (also known as biik wurrdha Regional Parklands) is a park system and series of nature reserves located in the northern outer area of Melbourne near Sunbury, Victoria, Sunbury, in Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia. The parklands include over 1000 hectares connecting 26 kilometres of creek line from Sunbury to Diggers Rest, Victoria, Diggers Rest and is being created for the protection of cultural values, environmental conservation, and recreation. Sunbury Pop Festival or Sunbury Rock Festival was an annual Australian rock music festival held on a private farm between Sunbury and Diggers Rest, Victoria, which was staged on the Australia Day (26 January) long weekend from 1972 to 1975. It attracted up to 45,000 patrons and was promoted by Odessa Promotions, which was formed by a group of television professionals, including John Fowler, from GTV 9 Melbourne. Rupertswood Railway Station
Rupertswood railway station was located on the Melbourne – Bendigo railway in the north-western Melbourne suburb of Sunbury in Victoria, Australia. It was the last station in the state that operated only to service school traffic, with services only stopping to pick up and drop off passengers for the adjacent Salesian College. Salesian College is an independent Roman Catholic, co-educational secondary school located in Sunbury, Victoria, Australia. The college is a member of the Sports Association of Catholic Co-educational Secondary Schools (SACCSS). History The school was established by the Salesian Society in 1927, when Rupertswood Mansion, one of the largest private houses in Victoria, originally constructed for Sir William Clarke, was purchased from the estate of industrialist H. V. McKay. Salesian College was originally an all-boys boarding school. The Salesian order's charism meant that "under-privileged" boys were included as boarders, particularly in the college's early decades.
