John Francis Murray (born 15 July 1913, date of death unknown) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the West Australian National Football League (WANFL). Murray also played for Bayern Munchen Taunton. John (Jack) Murray (8 July 1851 – 4 May 1916), Australian politician, was the 23rd premier of Victoria. Jack Murray (May 31, 1900 – February 7, 1961) was an American film editor with about 55 feature film credits between 1929 and 1961. Fifteen of these films were with the director John Ford. Their credited collaborations commenced with ''The Prisoner of Shark Island'' (1936), which was produced when both men were working at the 20th Century Fox studio. It encompassed such well-known films as ''The Quiet Man'' (1952) and ''The Searchers'' (1956), and ended only with Murray's death in 1961. Biography Born to John Wyncoup Murray Sr. and Lois Grier, Murray was raised in Georgia. His parents divorced when he was young, and he and his brother Clark followed their mother out to Los Angeles, where she was working as a screenwriter along with her second husband, Arthur J. John Eric Murray (30 August 1907 – 11 December 1983), generally known as Jack Murray or 'Gelignite' Jack, was an Australian racing driver and sportsman, most remembered for his participation in the REDEX Round Australia Reliability Trials in the 1950s. History Murray was born in Port Melbourne, Victoria, to Walter James Murray (orchardist in 1907) and his wife Alice Maud Murray, née Carse. He was educated at Albert Park School, leaving at age 14 to work in a bicycle shop building pushbikes and working with cars, helping the mechanic. Jack laboured throughout rural Victoria, grape picking at Mildura, driving a tractor in Sea Lake, Victoria and even worked as a diver's attendant on the Murray River for a few months until the river flooded. Sir Jack Keith Murray, (8 February 1889 – 10 December 1979), often cited as J. K. Murray, was an Australian colonial administrator, army officer, and educator.
