JEC Krona Futsal, also known as Joinville or Krona Futsal, is a Brazilian futsal List of futsal clubs in Brazil, club from Joinville, Santa Catarina (state), Santa Catarina. Founded in 2006 it has won one Liga Nacional de Futsal and six Campeonato Catarinense de Futsal. The team is a partnership between the sports club Joinville Esporte Clube and Krona Tubos e Conexões. Futsal Clubs In Brazil
Futsal is a variant of association football played between two teams of five players each on a court smaller than a football pitch. Its rules are based on the Laws of the Game of association football, and it also shares similarities with five-a-side football and indoor soccer. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. The players mainly use their feet to propel a ball around the court with the objective of scoring goals against the opposing team by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing team's goal. A futsal match consists of two periods of 20 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins; an equal number of goals scored results in a draw. Futsal is played with a smaller and heavier ball than association football, and usually indoors on a hardcourt surface marked by lines. Leonardo Mendonça da Rosa (born 21 May 1987), commonly known as Leo Jaraguá or just Leo, is a Brazilian born Kazakhstani futsal player who plays for Sporting CP and the Kazakhstani national futsal team as a defender and winger. Career Leo started his career in his hometown team and Brazilian powerhouse, Jaraguá, followed by short stints at Tubarão, and Foz Futsal. The Taça Brasil de Futsal ( Portuguese for ''Brazil Futsal Trophy'') is a Brazilian futsal championship. It was the only futsal competition in Brazil until 1996, when the Liga Futsal started. The Taça Brasil is one of the most traditional Brazilian Futsal Confederation (CBFS) competitions. The competition reunites representatives of the states (mostly of them are the state champions). The first edition was disputed in 1968, in Lages, Santa Catarina state, and the champion was Carioca from Rio de Janeiro state, with Palmeiras from São Paulo finishing as the runner-up. The Liga Nacional de Futsal (LNF) is the premier futsal league in Brazil, and was created in 1996 with the purpose of setting up a championship with the best futsal teams of the country, corresponding to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Brazilian Football Championship Série A.
