Ivaylo Rusenov (Cyrillic: Ивайло Русенов; born 9 September 1979) is a retired Bulgarian triple jump The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, step and jump or the hop, skip and jump, is a track and field event, similar to long jump. Ivaylo started training at the age of 12, coached by Svetoslav Topuzov. Ivaylo was working hard, his talent in the triple jump was not unnoticed, and soon the results came. He is Balkan record holder in the triple jump with 16.53 m. He competed in the 1998 World Junior Championship, where he placed second with a result of 16.65 m. 2003 IAAF World Athletics Final
The 1st IAAF World Athletics Final was held at the Stade Louis II, in Monte Carlo, Monaco on 13 September and 14 September 2003. It was the series finale for the 2003 IAAF World Outdoor Meetings and the successor tournament to the 2002 IAAF Grand Prix Final. The hammer throw event for men and women had to take place in Szombathely, Hungary a week previous as the Monaco stadium was not large enough to hold the event. One of the biggest shocks came in the pole vault where current world record holder Yelena Isinbayeva failed to take a medal after only managing to clear 4.50 metres.
